Oh, and after checkin I had to go back to my car to put a parking ticket in the dash. The lobby was extremely bright with fluorescent lighting and very uninviting. Luckily there was a working ice machine on my floor (21) but my coworker was on the 22nd floor and she had to come down to my floor for ice. I was greeted pleasantly at the desk and given two hot cookies and 2 bottles of water which was nice and appreciated and the only reason this review is getting 2 star instead of one. I couldn’t wait to get out of the car after I parked it and I stressed about how I would exit the lot without damaging the car.

Then the parking lot - omg - it is an absolute miracle of miracles that I didn’t completely scrape the whole side of my rental car going up the extremely narrow concrete ramps. I saw people staggering around just like they do in Kensington, Philadelphia (it’s a thing) and I was pretty disappointed about that. To my dismay there was a homeless encampment right around the corner (and another right across the street) from the hotel. When I got to the hotel I missed the entrance to the parking lot so I had to drive around the block. My company uses Concur, and I looked at the hotel pictures and thought it looked nice and I was excited about having a balcony. I did not read reviews ahead of time, but I should have. I was spending less than 12 hours in the hotel so I wanted something inexpensive (for San Diego). You have my details, please be good enough to contact me. my advise is - don't give them your card !!! To Hampton - refund my money please as this is totally unacceptable. I have not option but to take this up with my credit card company, I stayed in the Sates for 5 weeks at many different hotels and did not have any such issues. I have emailed their complaints dept and have received no response. Several days later while I was still in the US, it was still showing as a charge, on returning to the UK the charge still shows, have confirmation from the hotel that they ”agree to refund me ”, however 7 days on from that and I still do not have MY money, which they shouldn't have taken anyway. The charge came straight off my credit card anyway, the next morning I advised that my money had in fact been taken from me, I was told that it would be put straight back on the card. When I checked in on 24th Feb I advised that I had already paid and the man on reception said he would take a holding deposit for the value of the night which would not be charged. 1.28km from Krisp This is not what this facility is for - but I don't know how else to get in contact when no one acknowledges you.
